What to expect from the BYD Han, the electric sedan in our chauffeur fleet: a quiet cabin, room for three, published rates and when it is the right choice.

Most chauffeur fleets in Dubai are built around large petrol saloons and SUVs. Ours also includes the BYD Han, a full-size electric sedan. It is not trying to be a Maybach, and it does not pretend to be. It is a quiet, comfortable car at a very reasonable rate.
What electric changes for the passenger
The most noticeable difference is sound. With no engine note, the cabin is quiet at city speeds, which makes a phone call or a rest easier. Acceleration is smooth rather than surging, which suits the stop-start traffic of a Dubai rush hour.
Capacity and comfort
The Han carries three passengers and three bags, the same as the executive sedans in the fleet. The cabin has air conditioning, bottled water and phone charging.
The rate
At the time of writing, the BYD Han is AED 65 an hour or AED 600 a day, with the chauffeur and Salik tolls included and no surge pricing. The BYD Han page always shows the current rate.
When the Han is the right choice

When to choose something else
For a wedding, a VIP arrival, or any occasion where the car is part of the statement, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 or Rolls-Royce Ghost is the better fit. For four passengers, the BYD Song Plus is an efficient SUV that seats four, and the GMC Yukon seats six.
The same service either way
The Han is booked like any other car in the fleet. Airport pickups include flight tracking, meet and greet in arrivals and sixty minutes of waiting after landing, and the price is fixed before you travel.
